Q. WHAT HOURS ARE THE POLLS OPEN?

A. 7:00 a.m. TO 7:00 p.m.

Q. MAY I BRING MY MARKED SAMPLE BALLOT TO THE POLLS?

A. Yes, as long as you do not display it for others to see.

Q. WHERE DO I GO TO VOTE?

A. Your polling location is listed on your voter I.D. card. You may also use the "Precinct Finder" on this website to learn more about your precinct.

Q. IF I HAVE MOVED, CAN I VOTE IN MY OLD PRECINCT?

A. No, it is a 3rd degree felony to vote in a precinct where you do not reside.

Q. HOW DO I CHANGE MY ADDRESS?

A. You must notify the Elections Office, of any change in your residence address.  You can do this by either calling the Elections Office or by mailing the Elections Office written notification of the change.  A new card with your new address, precinct and polling location will be mailed to you.

Q. CAN I CHANGE MY ADDRESS AT THE POLLS?

A. Yes, but you will have to wait until the Precinct Advisor verifies that you are an active registered voter. Remember, you must go to the polling location in the precinct where you reside.

Q. IF I HAVE MOVED AND HAVE NOT CHANGED MY ADDRESS WITH THE ELECTIONS OFFICE, HOW DO I KNOW WHERE MY NEW POLLING PLACE IS?

A. You can call the Elections Office prior to Election Day to find out, check this website, or ask your next door neighbor.

Q. WHAT IDENTIFICATION DO I NEED TO VOTE?

A. Any identification bearing your photograph and signature.  You may use either a piece of identification with both your photo and signature, or one piece of identification with your photo and another with your signature. 

Q. IS THERE A TIME LIMIT IN THE VOTING BOOTH?

 

A. No.  But, you should come prepared by bringing your Sample Ballot so as to not inconvenience other voters.

Q. HOW CAN I GET ELECTION RESULTS ON ELECTION DAY?

A. No Election results are available until after the polls close at 7:00 p.m..  After 7:00 p.m. they are available from local TV and radio stations, as well as the elections office website and the Florida Division of Elections website (http://election.dos.state.fl.us)
